John is passionate about helping people. This is why he chose to establish this boutique law firm that focuses on helping everyday people assert their rights. He has represented individuals, small and medium-sized businesses, public and private corporations, financial institutions, executives and professionals in a range of matters that are important to their welfare and wellbeing.

While John provides general legal advice, he specialises in guiding people through the complexities of three areas of law – family law, personal injury law and insurance law.

• When it comes to Family Law, John takes a holistic approach to solving disputes. He understands how stressful and emotional property and parenting disputes can be for everyone involved, so he focuses on helping his clients achieve the best possible settlement so that everyone in the family can make a new and positive start to life.
• Personal injury and compensation issues often involve people who have experienced significant physical and emotional pain and trauma. With this in mind, John handles each case with sensitivity and care. He leverages his extensive knowledge and experience in personal injury and compensation law to make sure his clients receive accurate advice and get the best outcome possible. Over the years, John and his team have recovered compensation worth millions of dollars for clients in insurance and negligence claims.
• Before establishing John and Co Lawyers, John worked for one of the largest banks in Australia and for a leading international insurer. It was here that he gained invaluable insights into how large insurers and financial service organisations operate. He now brings this knowledge to his clients when handling their complex insurance issues.

With over 15 years experience, John has worked with clients of every size. John began his career as a lawyer working in a medium sized law firm in Sydney’s CBD that specialised in helping people who needed to make a claim for compensation, bring a case to court or deal with a family matter. These people had often been injured or experienced very challenging times. John gave them advice and represented them in personal injury, family law and insurance law cases. He has also worked for one of the largest banks in Australia and a leading insurance company. This gave him the opportunity to hone his expertise in insurance law and understand how the other side operates.

John decided to establish John and Co Lawyers because he wanted to support and help people when they needed it most.

When he’s not working, John likes to make the most of his time with his wife and three young and active children. He also enjoys reading, bike riding, fishing and keeping fit.

• Family law is one area where many clients have become familiar with Natalie’s warm and compassionate manner. She has worked on a range of issues including managing the probate process for clients and negotiating family provision claims on behalf of people.
• In insurance and personal injury law, Natalie has worked on many cases that cover a wide range of areas and issues. In particular, over the past five years she has achieved an enviable success rate for our clients when settling total and permanent disability claims.

As a lawyer, Natalie does a wide range of activities for our clients. She’s often the first point of contact for clients when they call or walk in. Natalie patiently sits down and hears about their issues and gives advice and guidance about what their options are and how they can proceed. As part of her role managing cases, she drafts correspondence and documents and makes sure they’re in line with procedural and Court requirements.

Natalie also regularly attends the Family and Circuit Courts in Sydney, Parramatta and Fairfield. She has also been involved in cases in the Federal Court of Australia, District Court and Supreme Court of New South Wales. If a barrister is required to run a case, she will brief them on the client’s case and make sure they’re prepared. When required, Natalie also attends mediations, arbitration hearings and conciliation conferences.

While she was studying for her law degree, Natalie started working with our Lawyer Director, John Odisho Putrus. It was here that she got a taste for what the job involved and realised how much she loved the challenges that it brought. No day is the same and every client has a need that she can help solve for. Once she completed her Bachelor of Laws from the Western Sydney University and was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales, Natalie came on board full time and hasn’t looked back.

In her spare time, Natalie loves to read. While she enjoys reading a variety of genres she has a special interest in historical novels. She also keeps fit by working out at F45 every day and relaxes by spending time with her husband.

Rayan works closely with our lawyers, John Odisho Putrus and Natalie Audisho, helping them to manage client cases. This often involves anything from putting together documents that are required for Court to completing applications that are necessary to resolve disputes. As she’s often on top of where a client’s case is, she also attends mediations so that she can assist our lawyers with any issues or questions that may arise.

Rayan is also one of the unsung heroes in the office because she keeps it operating smoothly each day. She makes sure that everyone has what they need without any fuss and is also responsible for invoicing.

Many of our clients are grateful when they hear Rayan’s cheery voice on the end of the phone. That’s because she is often able to give them an update on their case or assist them if they have a question or something that they need.

Rayan has completed a Certificate in Business Administration, but enjoys the variety of her work at John and Co Lawyers the most. Working in a constantly changing environment suits her to a tee – no two days are the same and that’s just the way she likes it. She also appreciates working in a close family-oriented environment.

Not one to take a break, Rayan pursues her second love of retail on the weekends. She enjoys dealing with customers and helping them select the perfect outfit for any occasion. Family-oriented, she also spends her spare time helping her family at home and going out with her friends and family.

As a Legal Assistant and Conveyancer for John and Co Lawyers, Nour helps Rayan to manage the office and gets involved in many different client cases. She is also responsible for managing conveyancing cases.

As a conveyancer, Nour is responsible for making sure that all the i’s are dotted and t’s crossed when someone is buying or selling property. She diligently goes through her checklist every day to make sure each step is completed. She is also involve in making sure all the contracts are signed and cheques are exchanged in time for settlement. Nour knows how stressful property transactions can be, so she makes sure that she keeps our clients updated on what is happening with their property transaction.

Nour is also responsible for managing our reception and provides support to our solicitors with whatever they need. This may involve working on client cases, preparing documents and correspondence or assisting in settlement conferences.

Nour works with our clients every day. Her smiling face is often the first thing they see when they come to our reception or call on the phone. As the first point of contact she listens to our clients and then direct them to the person who can help them deal with or resolve their issue. She is also always on hand to update our clients on where their case is and answer any questions she can.

After completing her Higher School Certificate, Nour decided to study Legal Services at TAFE. Upon completing her Diploma she jumped at the opportunity to get her foot in the door in a small boutique law firm and she’s taken to it like a duck to water. She is now planning on commencing a Law degree with a view to being admitted to practice as a Solicitor in New South Wales in the future. With that in mind, she’s taking every opportunity available to hone her skills and develop her knowledge of the law.

Outside of work, Nour enjoys reading novels and likes to keep fit.
